Combined Cadet Force (Royal Navy) (CCF(RN)

The CCF is up and running again and welcome new cadets from all year groups if you wish to take up this opportunity. Stephen Perry (SSI) and Sue Bailey have some activities planned for the rest of the academic year and will publish these when they have been confirmed. Those cadets who are already on role, are welcome to introduce themselves to us, or contact us using the email above.
In the Autumn term we took some cadets, and other students who have shown an interest in cadets, on a visit to HMS Collingwood. All activities are hosted by qualified and experienced RN instructors who are specialists in training young people and who regularly work with schools to provide youth opportunities of this nature. During the visit students will participate in multiple activities that range from low ropes, obstacle course and cadet field gun training all involving practical leadership tasks (PLTs), all the while under the supervision of RN instructors and whilst accompanied by staff and volunteer staff from Frome College.
Next term we are looking at visiting a Royal Navy air station and looking at opportunities to do archery and mountain biking plus other cadet related activities.
