Black Swan Young Open
This amazing artwork attached is created by Year 12 Fine Art student Ena C, whose work has been selected for the Black Swan, Young Open. This piece, called ‘The Shattering’ is a large-scale installation, painstakingly put together out of hand designed paper shards. This piece of work conjured awe and amazement when it was installed in the Art Department Gallery, so we're thrilled that now the community can now visit this piece at the Black Swan Gallery, located in the town centre.
The Young Open is one of the largest art competitions aimed solely at young people in the South West. Exhibition dates: 4 March – 16 April 2023
Prizegiving and opening day: Sat 4 March, 12pm midday. We encourage everyone to visit the Gallery to see this outstanding showcase of work, including Ena’s which can be seen in the Round Tower part of the Gallery. We wish Ena and all our other students who’ve entered this prestigious competition good luck, we are very proud of them all.
