Textiles Explore Drag

Our Textiles students have had a wonderful morning working with established and innovative drag artist, Remy. The students have been very busy designing and making drag outfits as part of our involvement in Frome College and so Remy spoke to them about the history of drag, and briefly about their own journey and gender identity. Remy showed the students some of their costumes and sketch books, and talked about how and why they have made certain costumes. Afterwards Remy critiqued the students work, with all the groups taking it in turns to show off their work. The students are now very excited to put what they have learned in to their work as soon as Textiles teacher, Ms. Gale, bulk buys stick-on gems!
